Description: Syed Ovais Naqvi is a doctor by profession. He is the first Pakistani who took part in the formula racing career. He was born in Pakistan and then shifted to Oman in the Middle East to experience new cultures. “You get a better perspective of the world, experiencing different types of cultures,” says Ovais.

Ovais was into sports since his childhood. He liked playing baseball, squash and cricket. He was also fond of racing and thought to achieve something in it. He became his own trainer, by watching races on television and practicing on the roads.

That wasn’t all he had to do. He had to let go of medicine and pursue racing as a career. He travelled to Spain for further training and he completed the Formula BMW beginner racing course. For the advanced racing course he went to Bahrain.
